Galileo Gonzalez is a visual artist and archivist born and raised in Southeast Los Angeles, and currently resides in San Antonio. He earned his BFA in Drawing & Painting from California State University, Long Beach.
​
Gonzalez's fine art and archiving work focuses on the El Salvador's turbulent history – particularly the Salvadoran Civil War – and how it intertwines with his family & personal history. Through this, he hopes to learn more about his family's role in Salvadoran history and to shed light of a moment in time that continues to be repressed and revised.
Aside from this, Gonzalez also works on music-related art, such as flyers, tour posters, band t-shirt designs, and designing record covers.

He has exhibited at galleries & museums such as Cerritos College Art Gallery, Avenue 50 Studio, Munzón Gallery, Presa House Gallery, Duke University, The Stamp Gallery at the University of Maryland, SOMArts Cultural Center, and the Museum of Latin American Art. His work is featured in the Cerritos College permanent art collection, as well as the Enrique Serrato collection.
He has also created and designed for labels such as The Numero Group, Daptone Records, Penrose Records, and Criminalized Records, bands such as The Altons, Thee Sinseers, Kelly Finnigan, Chavela, and for local music scenes in cities such as Los Angeles, San Jose, DC, and San Antonio.
